The White Pine fire in North Latah County has grown to over 1,000 acres and remains 10% contained—fire crews with over 400 firefighters spend nearly one million dollars a day as rains help slow the blaze near Harvard east of State Highway 6.

The Clearwater Highway District announced that Dent Bridge Road between Elk River and mile marker 28 will face delays and possible closures for a culvert replacement project starting Monday, September 15 through Monday, September 29—drivers should use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

Moscow City Council will meet Monday night to consider joining a project that would spend up to $45,000 to hire Welch Comer for a federal grant application to design an East/West truck route that shifts heavy freight away from downtown.
