ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A home near downtown Moscow was heavily damaged by fire Monday morning on North Washington Street—Moscow Volunteer Firefighters arrived around 9:00 and two residents with their dogs and cats evacuated safely while the Red Cross assisted victims and the cause remains under investigation. - ➤ The University of Idaho’s Auditorium Chamber Music Series will feature well-known pianist Jeremy Denk and violist Richard O’Neill performing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 in the Administration Building Auditorium; they will also lead public master classes from 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. on Friday at the Lionel Hampton School of Music with tickets priced at $25 for the general public, $20 for seniors, $10 for students and free for children 12 and under. - ➤ Idaho educator Jemila Chellappa developed a Growing Degree Day Calculator to help farmers know the best time to spray pesticides and protect good insects—this tool tracks daily temperatures and predicts pest activity on potatoes, sugar beets, alfalfa, barley, and wheat. - ➤ Idaho State Police is observing Crash Responder Safety Week from November 17 to 21 and urging drivers to slow down and move over for emergency responders on highways and rural roads.
