EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Idaho College of Science will host its annual Vandal Science Day tomorrow at IRIC from 9:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. The free event offers hands-on workshops, presentations, and interactive learning experiences for high school students and their families. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Today the University of Idaho is hosting its 50th annual Outdoor Equipment Sale and Swap from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center—entry fees are $5 from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., $1 from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., free from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., with sellers setting up at 5:00 p.m. and students plus children under 12 entering free; the sale offers new and used outdoor gear with proceeds supporting the Vandal Ski Team—Lookout Mountain student ski passes will also be available. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The University of Idaho will honor veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 11 with a wreath-laying ceremony at 11 a.m. on the northwest lawn and a Military Appreciation Dinner at the ICCU Arena where Sen. Jim Risch will speak—along with an announcement of $8 million allocated by the state to renovate Targhee Hall into a Joint ROTC and Veterans Center—supporting future military programs. Dailyfly
- ➤ Idaho Department of Fish and Game director Jim Fredericks told legislators that fewer livestock were killed by wolves so far in 2025 — with 23 cattle, 43 sheep, and one dog lost compared to 84 cattle and 192 sheep in 2022 — as state policies also reduced the wolf population. The report shows a clear decline in wolf depredations and supports ongoing wildlife management changes. Big Country News
