- ➤ Today across the Palouse, free Halloween events are held for families as Pullman runs a carnival at the Parks and Recreation Center from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. featuring a Candy Command Post and a WSU campus visit, while Moscow offers a Main Street trick-or-treat from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. with First Presbyterian Church open from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and LaCrosse hosts a community carnival and costume raffle from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The first Moscow Winter Market of the season will be held on Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) at the 1912 Center. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Over a dozen high school marching bands from the Northwest will compete Saturday at the Bands of America Regional Championships inside the Kibbie Dome starting at 10:45 a.m. Fourteen groups from Washington and Idaho — including Clarkston and Lewiston high school bands — will perform as the UI Marching Band takes the stage and the Vandal Marching Band hosts the finals at 7:00 p.m., paving the way for the national championship in mid-November. - ➤ Governor Brad Little signed Executive Order 2025-08 called the 'Making Rural Idaho Healthy Again Act' to make a team that will help Idaho ask for federal funds to better rural health care. The state wants $200 million a year for five years — a total of $1 billion — and the grant application is due November 5 while funding results will come after December 31. Dailyfly

- ➤ LC State Women’s Cross Country remains at No. 22 in the final NAIA Top 25 ranking for the regular season and will start postseason competition at the Cascade Conference Cross Country Championships in Salem, Oregon on November 7 — the team earned a ninth-place finish at the Great Lakes Challenge with strong efforts from seniors Grace Tiegs and Camille Ussher and freshmen Kailee Lerew and Eva Lundgren.
