Good morning, Moscow.

The open burning season without a permit resumes Tuesday in Idaho — though the closed fire season from May 10 through October 20 allows burning only with an approved permit and local areas may still enforce their own fire restrictions.

The Idaho Department of Lands said the state's closed fire season will end on Monday, October 20—after a five-month period when residents outside city limits had to get a burn permit.

Officials urged residents to use caution with yard fires and campfires despite the permit requirement ending.
