- ➤ The open burning season without a permit resumes Tuesday in Idaho — though the closed fire season from May 10 through October 20 allows burning only with an approved permit and local areas may still enforce their own fire restrictions. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The Idaho Department of Lands said the state's closed fire season will end on Monday, October 20—after a five-month period when residents outside city limits had to get a burn permit. Officials urged residents to use caution with yard fires and campfires despite the permit requirement ending. Dailyfly
