- ➤ Supporters of the No Kings movement will hold a peaceful protest in Moscow from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on October 18 at Ghormley Park as part of a regional series of demonstrations. The event follows rallies in Clarkston (12 to 2 p.m.) and Pullman (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and is organized as a grassroots effort against perceived abuse of power. Dailyfly

- ➤ Palouse Land Trust is hosting a fundraising screening of the documentary 'Finding Lucinda' today at 6:00 pm (featuring live music) that explores the life and music of iconic songwriter Lucinda Williams while supporting efforts to protect local lands and waters. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Hunga Dunga brewing hosts bingo at the 1912 Center in Moscow today at 5:30 p.m.—the game benefits Lena Whitmore Elementary PTA. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game recognized longtime volunteer hunter education instructor Mike Hallisey in Deary for his dedication to teaching courses since 1979—he donated hundreds of volunteer hours over the decades. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The University of Idaho will host its third annual POP Talks on Oct. 23 at the Bruce M. Pitman Center’s International Ballroom (free event starting at 3:30 p.m.) and will livestream the talks on U of I Live (voting will follow to award a $2,500 research grant to the top presenter and offer undergraduates a chance to win one of two $1,000 scholarships). - ➤ Idaho Fish and Game restocked Spring Valley Reservoir near Troy with 9,200 trout and Moose Creek Reservoir near Bovill with 6,500 fish earlier this month — crews will add 3,000 rainbow trout to Elk Creek Reservoir near Elk River later this week — and the fish are about 11 inches long and ready to catch. - ➤ Earlier this year, efforts to add language in a federal bill that would allow the sale of millions of acres of public lands were defeated after opposition from three of Idaho’s four members of Congress—Idahoans remain wary of future attempts. Conservation Voters for Idaho and local leaders support protecting these lands with measures like the Public Lands in Public Hands Act—96% of Idahoans back keeping public lands public. Dailyfly

- ➤ Idaho's open enrollment for 2026 health insurance began October 15 and will end December 15 — coverage for plans starts January 1 and Idahoans can compare 158 medical and 25 dental options on Your Health Idaho.
