- ➤ The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center announced local artist Brittany Hunt as the winner of the 2025 ArtWalk Poster Contest. Her design will represent this year’s ArtWalk season on October 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. — community members will view her work at several local venues. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The Rev. Tricia Tedrow was installed as the first woman pastor on Oct 12 at First Presbyterian Church on 405 S. Van Buren St. in Moscow—she has served other churches and plans to boost outreach and the music program. Dailyfly
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Today, Idaho drivers saw a drop in gas prices as regular gas averaged $3.46 per gallon — a penny lower than last week and six cents lower than a month ago — and AAA said lower crude oil prices could lead to more savings as fuel demand declines in cooler months. Big Country News

- ➤ The Moscow Police Department is launching its 24th Annual Citizen Police Academy on January 7, 2026, a 10-week course held every week at its Training Room at 155 Southview Avenue that gives community members a look inside policing—applications must be submitted by December 19, 2025 for limited seating. - ➤ Local karate team members from the Lewis-Clark Valley competed in the West Coast Open Karate Tournament on October 12 in Lakewood at Pierce College Gymnasium—facing competitors from the United States and Canada.
