- ➤ Local artist Brittany Hunt was announced as the winner of the 2025 ArtWalk Poster Contest by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce — Visitor Center. The ArtWalk season will begin on October 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is sponsored by Gritman Medical Center — Avista. Big Country News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Inland North Waste will provide special leaf collection routes for Moscow residents on Saturday, October 18 and Saturday, November 15 — residents must call or email by the week before each service day to join the route. Households should place leaves, grass clippings, squash vines, corn stalks and other non-woody vegetation in biodegradable paper bags or open-top containers; tied plastic bags and woody materials will follow regular collection procedures. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The new four-lane section of US-95 from Reisenauer Hill to Moscow will open Sunday, October 12 when work on Thorn Creek Bridge is completed. Construction will continue over the next several weeks—installing permanent barriers, signs, and rumble strips as part of the nearly $90 million realignment project. Pullman Radio
