Moscow Chamber of Commerce + Visitor Center announced its Leadership Moscow Class of 2026-2027 with 10 new members to build local leadership and community ties.
The program starts with a two-day retreat on Sept. 24-25 and includes monthly sessions through May.

Idaho’s Liberty Bell begins its three-week tour today from Boise to Pocatello, stopping for displays at the Eastern Idaho State Fair Parade on Sept.
5, the Idaho Freedom Festival on Sept. 11, and University of Idaho homecoming in Moscow on Oct. 24 (each child receives a special novel).
The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow is hosting its fourth Silent Film Festival Wednesday at 7 p.m. with 13 Washington Idaho Symphony musicians performing a new score for the 1928 silent film 'The Crowd.' The event continues Sept.
9 with Chaplin’s 'The Immigrant' and $12 student, $20 public tickets.

University of Idaho researchers discovered a new species called Hexura vandal in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests near Kooskia.
The nickel-sized spider, found during surveys in 2024 (named after the Vandals), may exist only in a small moist conifer area in Idaho.
