- ➤ Government offices, schools, and universities will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday—mail delivery, trash pickup, bank services, and local bus service will not be available as Pullman Transit runs a reduced route. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Today, Councilwoman Gina Taruscio and Gary Schoolland filed for one of three Moscow City Council seats—bringing the total candidate count to eight—with filings closing at 5:00 p.m. at the county auditor’s office. Pullman Radio

- ➤ LC State’s cross country teams begin the season today— the men are ranked No. 15 and the women No. 16 in the NAIA preseason poll, with Coach Mike Collins starting his 29th season at the Clash of the Inland Northwest. They return key finishers from last season and face a stacked conference that includes strong teams like College of Idaho as they aim for a top-10 national finish and a possible conference title.
