- ➤ Whitman County Public Works crews begin chip sealing the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail today — the work will last three days while the trail stays open and users are advised to be cautious. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Two local attorneys, Kelley Porter and Floyd Swanton, have applied for the Nez Perce County Magistrate Judge position in Lewiston and join a field of seven candidates. The Idaho Second Judicial District Magistrates Commission will select a new judge after Sunil Ramalingam’s recent appointment in Moscow filled a vacancy on the Latah County bench. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Moscow City Councilwoman Hailey Lewis filed her candidacy Monday to run for mayor as Mayor Art Bettge will not seek re-election — Sage McCetich filed for a council seat and candidate filing for other city posts ends on August 29th. Dailyfly
- ➤ Councilwoman Hailey Lewis filed her candidacy to run for mayor on Monday—after Mayor Art Bettge said he would not seek re-election. Three Moscow City Council seats and several taxing district posts will be up for a vote in November, with candidate filing ending a week from Friday August 29th. Pullman Radio
