- ➤ New York Times bestselling author Gregg Olsen and survivor Shasta Groene will speak at two library events on Saturday, August 9—one at Moscow Public Library at 12:00 p.m. and the other at Asotin County Library at 6:00 p.m.—to share Groene’s survival story and discuss Olsen’s new book Out of the Woods: A Girl, a Killer, and a Lifelong Struggle to Find the Way Home; both events are free and will include opportunities for book purchases and signings. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Cherry Fire north of Deary grew to about 50 acres this morning after being reported Monday night, and crews from the Idaho Department of Lands fought the blaze overnight with roughly 70 firefighters — additional helicopters, bulldozers, and planes supported the response.
