EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Local teens will taste snacks from around the world at the Moscow Public Library's Teens Try It event tomorrow, June 27 at 2:30 p.m. They will rate each snack and learn about its culture (a fun way to try new flavors). Pullman Radio
- ➤ University of Idaho’s Residence Hall Association was named 2025 School of the Year by NACURH — the largest student-run nonprofit that supports college residence halls. The award honors the group’s new housing team structure and growing community programs that improve campus living. Dailyfly
- ➤ On June 24th, the University of Idaho and an Iowa-based company settled a legal dispute over 93,184 IP addresses with no money changing hands — the agreement assigns 47,360 addresses to the university, 32,512 to Involta LLC, and 13,312 to several education entities. The State Board of Education approved the settlement during a brief public meeting, and the university will sell its share while the company agrees to buy the addresses if a sale does not close. - ➤ The Idaho Statistical Analysis Center released a study on school resource officers in public schools that showed about 2% of crimes in 2023 occurred on campuses and that school leaders saw the officers as helping to keep schools safe.
