Historian Dr. Earl Bennett will be awarded the Esto Perpetua Award from the Idaho State Historical Society for his 16 years of service and expertise on Idaho's mining history – he will join 11 other recipients at the ceremony on June 5 at the Idaho State Museum.

Logos High School track and field’s Naomi Taylor won Idaho’s High School Athlete of the Week award on May 23 — she set a school record by winning the triple crown in the 100, 200 and 400 meters while also running the opening leg in the girls 4×400 relay.

Griffen Parsells advanced to the 800m final on Friday with a time of 1:51.45 after a strong preliminary race while LC State athletes London Kirk and Sydnie Zywina ended their track careers with finishes of 49.24 in the 400m and 11.68m in the triple jump.

The men’s 4x400m relay team, seeded 29th, finished 14th overall—coach Mike Collins said the result exceeded expectations in windy conditions.
