Good morning, Moscow.

Moscow residents gathered last Saturday for the sold-out United in Community event to discuss defending democracy and resisting Christian nationalism—organizers like Joann Muneta and keynote Scot Nakagawa detailed local efforts to build cross-ideological coalitions and boost public participation. The event followed previous gatherings aimed at addressing religious extremism and economic shifts in our community.

The Moscow Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications for its 2025 Fall Fire Academy for community members who can volunteer about 12 hours a month, with applications due June 1 and interviews and agility tests starting mid June — classes will begin in late August.
