- ➤ The U.S. Census Bureau reported Moscow’s population grew by 1% between 2023 and 2024, nearly adding 300 residents to reach about 27,000, and since 2020 the town has gained over 1,400 people — an increase of more than 5%. Pullman Radio
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ On May 21 at 11:30 a.m., the Moscow Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon at Best Western Plus University Inn to discuss Idaho's economic outlook on workforce development with the Idaho Department of Commerce; Chamber members will pay $20 and non-members will pay $25 for lunch. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Moscow will flush its water system in five zones from May 19 to May 30 between 7:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.—streets will see water flow during the process. Residents are advised to run cold water for 10 to 15 minutes followed by hot water for several minutes after flushing and to call the City Water Department if discoloration persists. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Avista Utilities will conduct scheduled maintenance on North Mountain View Road near the pool for about 100 customers; the outage will run Tuesday, May 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – the road will be closed to traffic during the work. Pullman Radio
