- ➤ The America250 in Idaho Ambassadors announced the Jefferspud Writing Contest winners for students aged 12-18; first-place winners were Kohara Nomura (Moscow) for ages 12-14 and Audrey Stebbins for ages 15-18, with prizes of $250, $50, and $25 awarded while an E-book of entries will be released this summer. - ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will restock Elk Creek Reservoir near Elk River next week with 3,000 catchable-sized rainbow trout — the trout are about eleven inches long. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Repairs nearly complete on SR194 west of Pullman after a culvert was washed out during March’s flood; the highway near Union Center, closed since mid-April, will reopen Tuesday afternoon or evening + traffic will detour on U.S. Highway 195. Dailyfly
