- ➤ The 58th annual Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival at University of Idaho, held April 15-18, celebrated student talent with sweepstakes awards to top ensembles—Northwood Jazz Band I, Caldera Inversion, and the Jazz Band from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts—and scholarships to high school soloists including Olivia Niles, Sierra Sedgwick, Nathan Caranto, and Sean Andaya.
