  • University of Idaho plans to reapply for the climate-smart farmer grant cancelled by the USDA with revised proposals due by June 20. Professor Sanford Eigenbrode said the project aimed to cut 60,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by enrolling 100,000 acres in sustainable practices while some producers already invested in changes now face losses.  Dailyfly
  • The AAAS named two University of Idaho professors—Professor Shirley Luckhart and Professor Emerita Christine Moffitt—to its 2024 class of fellows for their contributions to global health and fisheries research.   • Idaho Transportation Department officials urge residents to obtain a REAL ID-compliant Idaho Star Card before TSA stops accepting non-compliant IDs at airport checkpoints May 7.
