The Idaho Department of Education is asking community groups to sponsor the 2025 Summer Food Service Program that will give free meals to children when school is out—especially in rural areas with few or no sponsors.

Steelhead Americas, a developer of the Harvest Hills wind farm near Kamiak Butte, threatened to shift the project to state oversight after local citizens in Whitman County acted hostile at a planning meeting—county officials pledged extra security and more frequent meetings to update wind rules.

Today, Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced a multistate settlement with Mylan Inc. that will deliver up to $335 million nationwide to help fight the opioid crisis, including money for Idaho.
