  • The Moscow Chamber Foundation will hold its Through the Looking Glass Annual Auction on April 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Best Western Plus University Inn—featuring games of chance, magical cocktails and a sale of unique treasures—while tickets must be purchased by Friday, April 11.  Pullman Radio

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Idaho Department of Education is asking community groups to sponsor the 2025 Summer Food Service Program that will give free meals to children when school is out—especially in rural areas with few or no sponsors. Eligible groups must finish training and apply by May 2.  Dailyfly
  • At the University of Idaho, donors gave more than $1.28 million on Vandal Giving Day held April 1-2, breaking last year’s record—up nearly $153,000—and pushing the Brave. Bold.   • Today at 12:00 p.m., the League of Women Voters of Moscow hosts a presentation titled 'The Embattled State of Immigrant Rights' at the 1912 Center Arts Workshop—Geoffrey Heeren, a law professor at the University of Idaho College of Law and director of the Immigration Litigation and Appellate Clinic, will explain changes in immigration law.   • Steelhead Americas, a developer of the Harvest Hills wind farm near Kamiak Butte, threatened to shift the project to state oversight after local citizens in Whitman County acted hostile at a planning meeting—county officials pledged extra security and more frequent meetings to update wind rules.  Dailyfly
  • Today, Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced a multistate settlement with Mylan Inc. that will deliver up to $335 million nationwide to help fight the opioid crisis, including money for Idaho.
