Today, the Latah County Historical Society will honor local volunteers in the 1912 Center Great Room in Moscow from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.—they will review last year's work and present Volunteer of the Year awards.

The event will also feature a talk by Dr. Rebecca Scofield on dragon-riding fiction with free coffee, cookies, a no-host bar, and food for purchase.

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories raised its starting hourly wage to $20 for U.S. employees effective April 1—more than 410 jobs are available in Moscow, Pullman, and Lewiston.

The employee-owned company also offers free onsite health clinics and wellbeing centers to its workers.
