- ➤ The City of Moscow Community Events Division and Moscow Farmers Market Commission chose Kieran Heywood as the artist for the 2025 Farmers Market poster after public votes, and his piece showing a mother duck and her ducklings will be added to the City Portable Arts Collection (341 votes, 31%). The market will open on May 3 and run every Saturday through October from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in downtown Moscow. Pullman Radio

- ➤ A controlled burn is scheduled this month in North Latah County to reduce wildfire risk, and U.S. Forest Service officials will burn 350 acres near Prospect Peak northeast of Potlatch—residents should see visible smoke from the burn. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed a bill that will stop unauthorized immigrants from getting many publicly funded assistance services. The law will go into effect July 1—state agencies must now verify legal status for most benefits while keeping emergency services exempt. Dailyfly
