- ➤ A swimming hole at Laird Park North of Harvard will return this summer after crews fixed the dam that had created it since the 1930s—making it ready for swimming by the end of June. Potable water for the Laird Park campground will also be restored on June 19—providing campers with safe drinking water after last season's shutdown. Dailyfly

- ➤ In Moscow, the University of Idaho will host its annual Vandal Giving Day on April 1—2 to raise funds for scholarships and student programs. The online event will run from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 5:29 p.m. Wednesday and will use live leaderboards to unlock matching donations from over $600,000 in pledges. Big Country News

- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department says equipment is moving to repair a landslide on U.S. Highway 95 near milepost 146.5 between Council and New Meadows and the highway will close for all vehicles Sunday at 8 p.m. — flaggers will guide local non-truck traffic until the road fully closes. Workers who arrived last Sunday will begin a 200-foot excavation on Monday and build a retaining wall anchored by steel piles — officials expect the highway to reopen in early May. Dailyfly
