Braver Angels will host a Red/Blue workshop on Saturday, March 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the 1912 Center.
The workshop will bring equal numbers of conservatives and progressives together for moderated discussions to reduce stereotypes—observers may attend but will not join the activities.
Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute will host a free Community Yard Sale and Sustainability Fair tomorrow at Palouse Nature Center Greenhouse in Moscow.
Local vendors will sell items like fishing gear and upcycled clothing — live repair demonstrations will be offered, lunch served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and $10 table space is available for sellers.
🎓 Education
Thirteen students from Palouse Prairie Charter School and Moscow Middle School will compete in the Idaho state MATHCOUNTS competition tomorrow at Boise State University—qualifying at regionals in Lewiston last month.
They will use their math skills to solve problems—aiming to advance in the contest.
The state report from last week showed that Idaho LAUNCH boosted fall 2024 postsecondary enrollment with community college numbers rising 18% and overall enrollment increasing by 11% — more students are taking advantage of workforce training opportunities.
Student leaders from local colleges presented a resolution in support of LAUNCH to Governor Little today, highlighting the program's growing impact.
University of Idaho has been awarded a $4.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation's GRANTED program to develop AI tools that will speed up research administration and cut paperwork.
The project, led by Sarah Martonick—director of the Office of Sponsored Programs—is working with Southern Utah University and will add more partner schools by its third year.

Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed House Bill 345 that makes major Medicaid reforms to control costs—requiring work for able-bodied enrollees and shifting management to private companies while offering tax credits under Medicaid expansion.
The law takes effect immediately by emergency clause after passing along party lines.
