- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game said applications for the 2026 spring black bear hunts will open Jan. 15 through Feb. 15. Hunters must have a license and pass a bear identification test (required for federal grizzly protection) and will be notified by Mar. 10; extra tags go on sale Apr. 1. Dailyfly

- ➤ Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre received a $19,000 NEA grant to produce BANDSTAND (with APOD Productions), a musical featuring a big band of twelve local musicians set for two weeks in November. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ AAA reported on Monday, Jan. 12 that Idaho's average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.77—a drop of 27 cents from last year—with some Treasure Valley stations showing small increases.
