➤ On Monday, Jan. 5, the Humane Society of the Palouse received three puppies and five adult dogs rescued from neglect at a Princeton home — they arrived underweight and unclean and were scheduled for veterinary exams the following day to begin treatment. Big Country News

➤ The Latah County Historical Society’s 2026 wall calendar now shows 12 pairs of historic and modern Moscow photos. It is available at Book People, the Chamber of Commerce (Visitor Center), the McConnell Mansion gift shop, and the LCHS office, with proceeds supporting preservation of the McConnell Mansion Historic House Museum.
